Privacy policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
This page explains what we collect on sagelabsai.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: we ask only for what we need to reply to you, we run no analytics and no advertising trackers, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Who we are
Sage Labs AI is the business name of Sage Labs, a one-owner business (a sole proprietorship) registered in Delhi, India. We are responsible for the information described here. You can reach us at contact@sagelabsai.com.
What we collect, and why
- The "Start a project" form: your name or company, your email address and your message, plus the team's plan if you chose to send it. We use them only to reply to you and talk about your project. The form sends them to our inbox through an email-sending service. We do not store them on the website.
- Sage's chat and the Terminal window: what you type there, and the recent turns of the conversation, go to AI services so that Sage and its team can reply and draft a plan. Before your text leaves our website, we automatically remove email addresses and phone numbers we recognise. Some unusual formats can slip through, so please do not share personal or confidential details there. To hear back from us by email, use Start a project.
- Daily limits: each visitor can send a few chat messages and get a few team plans a day. This stops misuse and keeps our costs fair. To count your use, we set one small cookie. It holds a random device code, the time it was set and a security signature, and it lasts up to a year. The same cookie helps protect the project form from misuse. We also turn your IP address (the number of your internet connection) into a scrambled code that cannot be turned back. We keep the code, never the address.
- Bot check: our hosting provider's bot protection checks that each chat, plan or form request comes from a real browser, not an automated script.
- No analytics: we do not use visit-counting or error-reporting services.
- Basic technical records: our hosting provider keeps a short record of each visit (such as your IP address, browser type and the time) for a limited period under its own policy, to keep the site secure and working. We do not use these records to identify you.
What the site saves in your browser
The desktop remembers your settings on your own device: your wallpaper, where you moved the icons, the volume, the music player's colours, your game levels and best scores, and anything you type in Notepad. This is saved by your browser on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time in your browser's settings. Our only cookie is the daily-limit cookie described above. The outside services listed below may store or read small amounts of data under their own policies.
Services we use
- Vercel hosts the site and runs its bot protection.
- Upstash stores the daily-limit counts, the scrambled IP code and the short chat history, on servers in Mumbai, India.
- Google Fonts supplies some of the lettering, so Google sees your IP address when the page loads.
- YouTube plays the music. Opening the music player connects to YouTube before anything plays. We use its privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com); Google controls any cookies or other data it stores, under its own privacy policy.
- AI services (an AI gateway in the United States, and AI model providers that may be in the United States, China or other countries) receive the chat and Terminal messages, after we remove the email addresses and phone numbers we recognise, to write replies and plans. We choose and change model providers based on quality and cost. Their own policies govern how long they keep what they receive.
- Resend, an email-sending service in the United States, delivers the project form to our inbox and keeps a short delivery record under its own policy.
Some of these services process information outside India, as listed above. A list of the specific providers is available on request at contact@sagelabsai.com.
How long we keep it
We keep form messages for as long as we are talking about your project, and delete them when you ask, unless the law requires us to keep them. Our copy of a chat conversation is deleted 2 hours after its latest message; we keep it only so Sage can follow the thread. The daily-limit counts and the scrambled IP code are deleted after 48 hours.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you. You can also withdraw your consent at any time; we will then stop using and delete your details, though we may no longer be able to discuss your project.
For any of these requests, or any complaint about how we handle your information, write to our Grievance Officer at contact@sagelabsai.com. We will reply within 30 days. Once the complaint rules of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 take effect (expected May 2027), you can also take an unresolved complaint to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
This site is for businesses. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
